Internet Anniversary: Google Celebrates With A Doodle The 30 Years Of The Creation Of The World Wide Web

The American company pays tribute to the invention that emerged from the mind of Tim Berner-Lee when he worked at the European Center for Particle Physics (CERN) In a society increasingly globalized in all its aspects, looking guilty of this fact seems complicated. But there is one in which many agree to point as a driver of changing consumer habits around the entire planet. This is the creation of the Internet and the digital environment as a means to communicate between people. Google, pa platform that lives from it, could not turn a blind eye and celebrate with a ‘doodle’ the 30th anniversary of the internet, although what really has to be celebrated is the 30th anniversary of the creation of the World Wide Web (WWW)).

The accessible version of the Internet that we know through different browsers had Tim Berners-Lee iit’slighter. This scientist took advantage of the protocol of the three W for the use and expansion of the Internet when he worked at the European Center for Particle Physics (CERN). “Tim was able to express his visionary idea in words and thus became a hero,” said engineer Jean-François Groff, who in 1989 made a practice at CERN and helped Berner-Lee develop the technology of the WWW (World Wide Web).

Specifying the date, March 12, 11989, from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (better known by its acronym CERN) in Geneva (Switzerland), the English scientist Tim Berners-Lee invents the WWW, the global computer network that serves to distribute information between computers over the Internet.

«Suppose that all the information stored in any computer can be linked. Suppose I can program my computer to create a space in which anything can be linked to any other ». This was the way that Tim Berners-Lee had presented to the public the idea that gave rise to the concept of the World Wide Web thirty years ago, as reported by the Italian medium Punto-information

Three decades later, Tim emphasizes the need for the three major groups of Internet users (governments, companies and civil society) to respect elementary principles of digital coexistence. For this reason, he warned that if this is not done, serious consequences could be suffered, which he compared to the “crash” of the international financial system a decade ago. Internet, that idea that changed the world and that can play against you if you move away from responsible use.
